    Bench Belt sander

The plus side: This is a good little sander for the money. I have been using it on small DIY projects for about a week now and it does quite a good job. It comes fitted with an 80 grit belt and you fit the disc yourself. There is a little amount of putting it together but nothing too technical but you do have to supply your own spanners. The model I bought looked slightly different to the one in the pictures so identifying the bits and pieces took a little longer than I thought. On the down side - it doesn't like too much downward force/pressure being applied. This tends to stop the machine altogether. The same if you apply too much to the disc. I fitted the rubber non-slip feet and used it on my worktop but if it's not secured/bolted down, it tends to judder and bounce about a bit. As long as you aren't trying to turn a redwood into matchsticks - its fine. Takes a bit of the handwork out of using my portable sander thats for sure. At this money - go for it.

    Okay for the price

It’s okay and does a reasonable job. It’s difficult to get the belt running straight and you need to readjust it when you change from vertical to horizontal. It also vibrates like the clappers when under load. Have got some good results but wish I’d spent a bit more and got something more solid

  • Value for money does what it's meant to do but not really for professional use..

This sander is absolutely fine for the hobbyist or occasional use but far from being an industrial tool. Obviously built to a price but quite well made and does the job well if you respect its limitations. Some time needed setting up for reasonable accuracy. I have replied yes to "Is it powerful" as there is no mid way answer but safe to say it's OK just don't try and work it too hard.

  • Sander

Nice machine but table not square to sanding disc and tilt pointer not accurate. A little bit more care needed on build. Have to set table up with a set square to get straight edge

  • Not Bad not fantastic

It would be much better if the plastic dust guard did not interfere with the flat service area. The part to stop the sanding parts wizzing off are not as it looks on the photo or any related drawings or words.

  • I should have bought it years ago.

I have been a model maker in my spare time for 55years , always shaping and sanding by hand. This machine has opened my eyes! I have sanded to shape All the parts needed to build a 42 inch model yacht in a matter of hours, instead Of DAYS.. It was so easy to assemble, and it is so easy to use. I have nothing but praise for this machine.

  • unimpressed

Not impressed with this tool at all,. Firstly the base is warped, one corner is off the surface by at least a quarter inch, when I first started it, it bounced and vibrated all over the place. If I wasn't so lazy it would sent back, but I am so it won't

  • FIT FOR PURPOSE

I make professional-quality display carts and bought this sander to perfect the angles on the wheel segments. On the whole it does the job but the table could do with being more rigid in order to consistently maintain a perfect 90-degree angle with the sanding disk. Having said that, I've just made the best pair of wheels ever.

  • Quality product

Seems ok haven’t used it yet, only tested to make sure it was working.

  • Rubbish NO STARS

Vibrated so much that it shook grub screws used to assemble it loose. Wouldn’t sand under the lightest of pressure. Do not purchase.
