Good quality mechanism
the mechanism is brilliant quality! It works as it should with no issues! the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is 1. It didnt come with enough bolts and sleeves - however very cheap to buy from screwfix or toolstation. 2. didnt fully understand instructions and was a bit to confusing, even for a tradesman. 3. the legs are only good if you have a carpet flooring and not laminate. otherwise its not steady and can easily slip leading to bed slamming down. Not Murphy’s mechanism
I bought this item thinking it was the real Murphy Bed mechanism because it was advertised as one,but it isn’t, it’s a StrutsDepot variation. I’m in the process of putting it all together on the bed I’ve made. It seems sturdy enough, but the instructions are basic & the fixings needed oiling to make them tighten. You also have to make holes on either side of the bed to accommodate the fixing bolt, which aren’t shown in the instructions to allow it to be fitted correctly. The genuine Murphy Bed instructions, which I obtained directly from them bears no resemblance to the StrutsDepot mechanism at all. So I can’t really recommend this mechanism because it’s not what I expected, that’s not to say it doesn’t do the same job but you need to bear that in mind.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hard to fit
Missing fixing in the box v hard to fit institutions are minimal however is a very good product cost a bit expensive!! If you buy one then do make the bed heavy as it will help as the struts are so powerful good luck.😁😁
