Top of the line medical-grade timed release peppermint oil
Everyone will have different results, depending on their medical conditions. For me personally, I have been using IBgard since 2018 (and its "companion" FDgard) and have had excellent results. I am unable to tolerate the harsh, chemical drugs prescribed by doctors (unbearable side-effects) and have learned over the last many decades of trial and error and lots and lots of needless, debilitating suffering, that for me, natural/homeopathic works best. IBgard and FDgard were also recommended to me by one of my doctors, but I have gone my own path and I take and use *what works for ME, for several of my chronic conditions. I know my body best. No doctor does; you can only tell them so much in an office visit, but *you* know what your daily life is like. IBgard and FDgard are the top of the line; absolutely. Always read the ingredients and instructions. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure of anything, or have questions. Clinically studied product. Doesn't seem to be helping husband's IBS issues.
This product is mostly peppermint oil - which you can buy in the spice aisle at the grocery store for a fraction of the cost. My husband has IBS and he takes this on a regular basis, but he continues to have a lot of bathroom issues. I really don't think it is helping him. I think if he took a daily probiotic (which has "good bacteria") he would have better results, but who listens to their wives, lol. Maybe this product helps some people; that's great if it does! Good for IBS
This is one of the only things that has helped to keep my abdominal cramping/spasming managed. It doesn’t fix it but it got me through a few years of having severe issues due to mold illness. A great medication but just too expensive.
It's the best OTC medication I have ever taken for any condition. It's an amazing medicine. It controls my IBS 99% of the time. When it doesn't, it is usually because I have spent a day eating incorrectly. I'm not housebound anymore. Expensive but Worth It!
If this stuff wasn’t so insanely expensive, I would give it 5 stars. It is hands-down the best OTC medication for IBS I’ve tried. It works great! It doesn’t fix all the symptoms, but it most definitely helps. A proper diet combined with this medication will do wonders. But it’s literally just peppermint in a capsule, so I don’t understand why it’s so expensive. That’s really my only issue. Great Product with Great Results
After years of pain and discomfort - and having two Catscans only to find nothing, a new gastroenterologist I found suggested IBGard. He indicated that many of his patients have had success with it. Since it was an over the counter product - I was skeptical. Well it turned out to be a game changer for me. By the second day - the cramps and bloating began to subside. Very effective adjunct in managing severe IBS symptoms
It is very effective in calming an inflamed colon/ gut. Much easier on the system than regular peppermint oil capsules and will not give you re-flux. Don't expect miracles if the problem is long-standing and complicated with SIBO, Blasto, immune reactions, etc. but it should be part of the repertoire for anybody suffering severe IBS symptoms. I have used it in combination with Querticen, bovine, serum-derived immunoglobulins or dried bovine intestinal capsules to great effect as part of the management of such conditions.
