SEAFOAM: Bought several times before and each time I use it I get results. Used on motorcycles, cars, vans but this time was for my 1969 beetle which was in desperate need of a fuel clean. Put into 1/4 tank of petrol and allowed to mix with fuel before warming engine and getting it into fuel system. Once warmed poured a little into the carb throat while running and then switched off. Waited 5-10 mins and started car, followed by a ln Italian tune which produced lots of white smoke and within 10 mins of driving noticed smoother running, zero smoke and what’s left in the tank will clean as it goes through. Not the fastest car by far being 55 years old but definitely running smoother, and from experience will only get better. I used this in my 2003 Vivaro van and managed 205 miles on £31.20 so definitely a fuel saver and smoother drive. Stuck to this as it’s been around longer than my 55 year old car unlike other brands so for me I stick to what I know works. On the motorbike I used it prior to winter storage and come spring (in the uk it’s like one day a year) in April so was laid up 6 months in the shed, she fired up no issues and despite having fuel stored in it so my tank wouldn’t rust, I drained it all and remembered I had put this in back autumn time so used the fuel in a lawnmower which showed the fuel to be perfectly fine and ran like a trouper while I cut the grass. There maybe other products that others prefer but for me and the fact it has made such a difference over 4 vehicles I’m positive I’ll not use anything else. Not used in oil per se but I do regular oil changes but I’m certain it would make a difference to sludgy oil if I had it.

DID NOTHING FOR MY VW CADDY VAN

Bit of a rough idle and occasional 2 or 3 starting attempts to get a high mileage VW Caddy 2.0 Diesel van going, so thought I'd try chucking in a full container of Sea Foam in a half full fuel tank (about 8 gallons), to see if it made any difference. Alas, it didn't. But it didn't do any harm either. Next time though, will try using 100% Sea Foam to prime a new fuel filter when next due a major service, to see if it makes any positive difference.

  • Seafoam is a great product that works!

I've watched many independant reviews for Seafoam and various other products you can use in your combustion engines from fuel additives to oil additives for small engines and big engines and Seafoam is a product that works, i won't go into the details as you can see the infromation for yourself all over the internet. I have a 23 year old peugeot 205 that has been owned exclusively by older women and i'm the first male owner, so it's a safe guess that the car has never been stripped and cleaned or treated with anything other that the bare necessities to make it run. You can use this product in both the fuel and the oil but I wanted to use it exclusively for the fuel as I used it in combination with Seafoams other product which is a cleaner/lube for the cylinder head and air intake system, after applying it to the fuel tank and spending a good 5 minutes rocking the car to mix up the 16oz of seafoam with 40~ liters of fuel i ran the engine and within a few minutes the exhaust was billowing out thick whites clouds of smoke. As the engine ran I was applying the cleaner/lube via the air intake system right at the throttle plate as instructed and I ran the engine at an increased rpm as instructed to make sure the product was being applied correctly, the engine noise profile changed dramatically over the course of the 7~ minutes it took to apply the entire can of cleaner/lube meanwhile the engine continuously billowed out thick white clouds of smoke. Engine performance has improved, the engine sounds different and the throttle input feels a lot more sensitive compared to how it previously was which felt sluggish and not very responsive which you don't want in any engine. As a follow up from my application and test drive the engine ran better, the throttle input feels like it would on a motorbike or a much newer car and I'm very happy with the results, when i stripped the cylinder head off the engine block the pistons and valves looked much cleaner than i expected as there was a lot of carbon buildup and some of it had crystalised from years of use with no cleaning treatment being performed. This is my own review which is un-biased as i'm not paid by Seafoam or any other company, I can tell you as a real person that it really does work, it's expensive which can put you off of some of these types of products as there are so many of them out there and you might not know which to get but after my conducting my own research i came to the conclusion that Seafoam worked and it works well. The end results I can't be happier about as my 205 feels brand new and everytime I use it it just feels incredible like a brand new block was installed.

  • Easy to use and results speak for themselves.

I did not feel that reassured this product would clean my outboard rough idling condition but it was worth a try. After some initial problems, when it stalled, I left it for a day then on returning it ran smoothly. I hope it continues.

  • Audi TFSI engine

Always sceptical of a product like this, but hey don't knock it till you've tried it , so I tried it, TFSI engines are known for carbon build up on the inlet valves so with 70k under its belt it's needed, I followed the instructions as stated, and to be fair it did make a difference the car picks up better more response and free breathing now, don't advise doing this in a small street though as the sea foam burning off really does produce some crazy smoke! Scary but is normal had a thick plume of black smoke released and all was well! So yep gets a thumbs up!

  • Wouldn’t be without it

Used for years when in the US in a variety of our cars and trucks. Glad to see a reputable company selling genuine bottles. Buy it often, use it regularly. Most times I tend to use every other oil change but also use as a fuel conditioner when weather is cold or vehicle standing for sometime. Never had any issues.

  • Does what it says it does

Used this product on a 70hp Evinrude 2 stroke outboard that had not run for 4 years and would not start. After spraying sea foam into the float chambers of the carburetters the engine burst into life and runs really well. This really is a good carb cleaner because most sources say you need to strip the carbs down completely to get over this problem all I did was remove the float chamber drain screws and spray Sea Foam in. ….. Very happy!

  • Fuel system flush

I think this provides proof seafoam works, I've never had any problems with MOT emissions before I decided to flush my fuel system, i added as per instructions to 5 gallons I had in my tank and run till nearly empty, put vehicle in for MOT and it failed on emissions, I explained what I had done so they stole me to put fresh fuel in and give it a good blowout, it then passed with the lowest emissions I've ever had.

  • recommend, great product when used correctly

it is great for the described use, worked well on my high millage diesel van, in engine as a cleaner and fuel tank as a injector cleaner, it has made a difference to the noise of the operation of the Engine .Much more quieter than it was prior to use
