Not really put to the test yet, but it looks very promising as a way of having flexibility with a very reasonable degree of stability for DSLR video, at what is really a minimal cost. The side handles will, I'm sure, prove very successful, and there's the capability to add a monitor, external recorder, mic, lights etc, if we decide we need them. For the time being, our hdmi cable now has something to secure to, as will a remote control, and maybe a wireless microphone. The only issue so far has been that the top handle obscures the LCD screen, which can be resolved to a reasonable degree by turning it around the wrong way - if it's still wanted in place, that is. We will be using this in conjunction with a basic stabiliser from Varizoom, which provides for adjustable support from the chest region, but a pinch the supplied bars on this cage could be used in that kind of way, too.Read full review
