Works a treat
Good solid product, the rubber outer ring means it sits perfectly on the bath drain hole. We have a pop-up style drain in our bath, which when you're showering is best removed or 1) the water drains too slowly and 2) you stub your toe! Pros - Fits my old-fashioned enamelled bath perfectly. The fact the metal, catcher part is a raised dome rather than an insert, means that it should fit many less standard-sized baths. The rubber edging holds it in place well & also stops any extra-adventurous hairs from making a break for it under the edge & down the plug hole. It's very quick and easy to clean, and looks compact and sleek. Cons - The water doesn't flow that quickly through it, even without anything blocking it. I have a shower over the bath with weakish flow, so the unit might struggle with power showers, for example. That being said, even if the water fills up, the unit still stays in place. I don't mind at all; it's only a few inches at most and as I have a water meter, it helps remind me about how much water I am using. And it soaks your feet a bit. OXO, better than gravy :-)
We brought this to cover a old chrome shower drain where the chrome had peeled. It sits perfectly (recommend you measure yours), makes the shower look clean and fresh and it surprised me how much it catches. Being in a shower i've not noticed my feet in water so it drains well too. Looked like a good idea but slowed up the drainage of the shower.
