Aspercreme with 4% lidocaine is amazing
NOT to be confused with REGULAR Aspercreme. I like that it has no scent and numbs my sore elbows, arms, knees, etc., almost on contact. I slather it on throughout day. Swimmers/lifeguards love it. No scent, no burning, perfect for summer--no extra heat. Had previously used scented gel that cooled & burned sore muscles/joints and had ilex. I hardly use it now. Still have to watch after applying, instead of mistakenly burning (i.e.,playing with pets--never insert contacts) with fingers, end up numbing, like don't eat finger food right away, even after washing hands:). Isn't Ben Gay!
Good product. Doesn't seem to last as long as Ben Gay, but it doesn't 1) get hot, or 2) smell like Ben Gay! I use this for sciatica and have a need to apply it to rather sensitive areas. IT DOESN'T GET HOT! If I'm going to be around people, I have a need to use this product on larger areas. I choose lidocaine because the is no odor. Excellent product..
Aspercreme with Lidocaine works very well to desensitize my feet, so that I can sleep all night without pain. I have tried the 'regular' Aspercreme and it's not as effective for me. I am diabetic and my feet ache a lot, especially at night... Without the Aspercreme/Lidocaine, the foot pain usually wakes me in the middle of the night (if I can get to sleep at all).
