Worth investing in one of these
My husband says that although it is heavy duty, it is light and easy to use. We live on a hillside in the Pennines which is very stoney under the fields. New posts had to be put in this year as some had rotted and some sheep and cattle had knocked down, but this year the job has been made a lot easier with this Post Driver. Quick way to plant fence posts
This is a much better way of putting in fence posts than hitting them with a hammer! Can be operated by one person, but better with two. You need to check frequentpy to start that the post is vertical - once its in you won't be moving it in a hurry. the Hausen model looks solid, is a good weight and was delivered propmtly.the paint was scraped off on a small section of teh opening, but this is a garden tool, not an ornament, so who cares? .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bash it don't trash it!
I live in an area called 'stonyacres' and for good reason! This tool bashed in 3" round posts to a depth of 2/3 feet with no problem at all and no damage to the top of the post. It will thump in posts up to 6" diameter.......yet to attempt that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Useful tool
Arrived promptly, is not too heavy, hits posts in well only used on sort ground so far. Much better than splitting the stakes with a sledgehammer.
