This is the best of the bunch by some distance, it is more expensive than other types of generic terminal pliers but the quality of the crimp is superior. These pliers (as with most other types) need a little practice to make perfect connections. The most common reason for a poor result is the use of excessive force, these pliers are so efficient that only light force is required to make a good crimp. I am pleased with this purchase, pity I wasted time and money on cheaper pliers.

Major advantage is that because the conductor crimp and the insulation crimp are separate operations you can choose the best dye to keep the insulation crimp small so as to easily fit into the receptacle unlike the double crimp pliers that are more common. It's well worth the slight extra time as you just do not get failures with this tool. This is partly because you can actually see what you're doing whereas the double crimp type acts as a mask.

I bought a cheap tool from China a while ago but it was very heavy and never really crimped properly. I saw a video about this one and decided to buy one. It is so much better. Very high quality manufacture, it produces perfect crimps almost every time and is much easier to use. If you need to do a fair bit of crimping of JST type connectors, or Dupont, then this tool is definitely worth the investment.

This is one of those tools that seem expensive, being two to three times more expensive than less expensive Chinese and similar crimpers. But, they are a typical example of you only get what you pay for. They give a perfect crimp by firstly shaping and crimping the terminal on the outer wire casing and then with a second action, secure the inner wire to the front of the terminal. I have tried soldering, using ratchet crimpers and small needle nose pliers and all failed miserably to get a good joint. I get perfect results every time on my Futaba servo plugs, but I believe these are are suitable for mobile phones and computers too, as they crimp from 1mm. This is due to the well-made quality of this product and the finely shaped jaws that crimp terminals to a perfect shape. I bought this to replace my ageing precision crimp tool, and I’m impressed with the quality of the steel, and the crimp profiles. Superb quality, and very easy to use. They’re expensive, but high quality, and I hope to get many years of service from them !

Low cost solution for crimping small JST connectors. Looks good and feels good to use. Produces excellent crimps ( I am crimping 1.0mm terminals). Judged in the context of an affordable solution for non production use it is an excellent product.

I purchased this for some Molex minifit (their crimp tool is £253.25) and TE Value lock (their crimp tool is near the same price) all 1.2mm 20AWG wires. This tool is very easy to use, it's fast the crimped terminal is near perfect and if a user is unsure there are full colour instructions included. I would strongly recommend these.

I needed to make a lot of Dupont connections, so initially bought several cheap Chinese crimp tools in the attempt to successfully do the job... no, waste of money. Saw a few videos on the Net indicating the PA-09 tool was good, so ordered one. I should have done this from the start. It's very good indeed. A few practice crimps to get my eye in, then it works every time.

Very good quality tool suitable though for only crimping smaller wires. Anything over 0.75mm and you would need the next size up. A bit too expensive for casual use as well. In saying that an inexperienced person would need this quality tool to provide good results. Good tools aren't cheap.

This tool is good for the very small connectors used in the RC equipment. It is folding the small connectors fine. It is however missing the rattle that makes it easier to hold a clamp while inserting the wire. You also needs to make two operations, one for the wire and one for the isolation. Overall it does a good job.
