Marnie - Tippie at her best and Sean before he was famous!
A rather somber, yet engaging romp into the life of a young blonde woman with a repulsive secret buried so deep that even she doesn't consciously remember it. Although, renounced, the secret manages to convert the young lady into a rather clever and successful criminal. That is, until one of her wealthy victims decides to take an unexpected fancy to her - and then, all bets are off! Simply the best.
I've enjoyed this film for decades. MS. Hedren is naturally gifted. She never planned on being an actress yet she gave one of the best performances I've ever seen. She's convincing in this; running the gamut of so many emotions. Especially when she has to revert back to age 5. It's a fascinating study of what can happen when you're raised by someone who knew nothing about loving & caring properly for their child. I will never get tired of watching this film. This is one of my favorite Hitchcock movies of all time. It's not one of his well known movies but I think that both Tippi Hendren & Sean Conery were so good together. If It's Hitchcock, It's Got To Be Good
Wanted to see this movie for a very long time. Although not vintage Hitchcock, it's definitely intriguing and suspenseful.
