My favorite Hallmark film so far
At 77, retired after 52 years of teaching high school journalism, I am still a journalism working away day and night only from home. When I retired three years I stumbled upon Hallmark movies. Such a unique genre and a wonderful opportunity see talented actors you might not see elsewhere. Also, the production values are fascinating as so much is shot on location. This is my favorite so far and I have in fact bought DVDs for friends, all of whom love it. It is a film full of love and good cheer and whimsy with a touching ending, a story almost anyone can identify with. As with all Hallmark films, the cast is interesting, some famous faces and some not famous, and the ensemble work is outstanding. The story mostly takes place Alaska and, no, it was not shot in Alaska, but that is part of the fun. The last shot is a hoot.
