I LOVE ANDRE AND HIS ENTIRE TEAM!! Just before Christmas I was searching the "net" for a Christmas concert for my wife & I to enjoy on our new smart TV. Came across his Christmas in London concert a few minutes later a I was "hooked". I now have about 15 of his concerts from to 90's up to the latest. I love them all! Some of the older releases have less sound and video quality that the newest (of course), but I wouldn't give any of them up. The Flying Dutchman is great... beautiful concert setting outside Berlin. You can see on the faces of the thousands lucky enough to be there that EVERYONE is MAX happy.... on both sides of the stage. It is contagious! I put in this DVD, pour a glass of wine and 30 seconds later after a hard day,; I'm as happy as the are!! B.T.W.; I had no choice but to upgrade my sound system too.

We just watched this DVD and enjoyed every minute of it. The special features were very entertainng and informative. Wish we could see him in person

Andre Rieu The Flying Dutchman
Andre Rieu is the absolute best conductor I have ever heard. He is energetic, talented, and the consummate showman. His Johann Strauss Orchestra is amazing, and the best compilation of musicians I have seen. They are multi-talented, and his show is always serving a surprise or two. Many of the members of his orchestra play several instruments, as well as sing, and this makes his shows quite enjoyable. It is quite obvious that Mr. Rieu loves what he does, and we, his fans, are the ones' that reap the rewards. His personality both onstage, and in private life, is down to earth and his zest, and love, for life is addicting. You cannot help but smile and move to the music! This DVD is one of several we own, and will continue to follow him.
