Story of a mismatched couple.
The movie was a bore , it was a political and love story ,but it should have focused on one more closely , although i will admit that it painted a pretty shallow picture of the Hubbell character , for me something was missing it did not complete it's mission. but glad I didn't pay too much for it .

Love this movie
One of the classics it funny romantic it’s sweet sometimes sad. I love Barbara Streisand She is so beautiful and a natural in movies, great chemistry with actors she’s pair with, in this case Robert Redford. Definitely one of my favorite pictures can watch it over and over.

Great Song, Great Ending
This movie is a classic! Even with its stereotypical character portrayals (except for those long, long, expensively manicured finger nails on Streisand which belie even the stereotype) the movie still hits you right in the heart.The Oscar winning title song, The Way We Were, is gorgeous and the movie is certainly worth a watch for the ending alone.

A CLASSIC!!
I caught the last half of this movie on cable and decided I had to see the whole thing! Two fine actors, Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford are captivating in this movie. I won’t hint at the ending but it’s a movie I highly recommend.
