Adorable knitted animals with amazing wardrobe of clothes and accessories !!!!
It is a truly beautiful book - the patterns are amazing and clothes really do suit ‘their’ animal !! HOWEVER some of the instructions and abbreviations are mind - boggling !! My friend and I have over 150 years of knitting experience between us - we both started knitting at a very young age - 4 and 7 respectively - and some of the instructions and in particular abbreviations - have left us totally mystified !!! Heaven help the inexperienced knitter who attempts these dear animals !! However in spite of the above comments - we have persevered and used our knowledge - and thoroughly love the finished animals ! Not as good as the knitted doll book
Having had the first book of the knitted doll I was disappointed to find that the clothes were difficult to knit. They needed circular needles or 4 needles very fiddly with such small garments unlike the easy patterns in her other book.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Tricky patterns
This is a beautiful book but the patterns are quite difficult.. mostly garments are knitted from the top down and either on 4 double pointed needles or circular. You can adapt to 2 needles but remember to purl alternate rows and reverse shaping if needed. I haven't tried any of the animals yet.
