Reviews5 stars out of 5 -- "The triumph of ...LIKE CLOCKWORK is that, for all the disparate personnel and stylistic diversity, it all sounds of a piece, with Homme spilling the beans on every beef that torments him.", "A mournful tone of lament fuels the 10-track set, particularly on starker moments within 'The Vampyre Of Time and Memory'...", 4 stars out of 5 -- "LIKE CLOCKWORK still runs on Homme's grizzled-dude-against-the-world intensity....Few can rain down metal decay with as much nuance and craft."
Not much point in paying attention to my five stars as QOTSA have been my favourite band for a while. Anyway, what I did want to say is that I’m really impressed with this vinyl version. It seems different to the digital version in that the production seems to work better, I guess that’s down to the mastering. I’m genuinely impressed with the way it sounds, it breathes new life into this, my least played QOTSA album and has really reinvigorated it for me with new sounds and different vibe altogether. Also it may be of interest to some that my version plays on four sides at 45rpm, why I have no clue, but it just sounds great.
