An essential addition.
I was given a Tom Chambers slate roofed bird table for a birthday present. Although it is stable, it is a little top heavy, and wouldn't take much of a tilt to tip it beyond the point of no return and send it crashing to the ground, endangering the integrity of the slate roof. These stabilisers are purpose made, easy to attach to the frame, and a doddle to drive into the soil with a rubber faced mallet. Does the job
Bought these for a new bird table at a care home for socially challenged adults, one of whom may have been likely to pull the table over. The table had sloping legs rather than a flat cross shaped base so the stabilisers had to be put in at an angle. A little too wide for the legs and difficult at first to hammer home. Solved this by using a piece of wood to provide a wider striking area. I then used fencing tacks to secure them in place. Suggest installing them when the ground is soft not after a spell of hot dry weather. The bird table is now very secureVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

holding down the bird table brilliantly. Used three on table and couldn't get the fourth one in the ground because of a piece of concrete underground. No more rocking bird table! Very suprised how long they are and they did need a bit of knocking in with a mallet - which pleased me as it adds to the security of the table. Very easy to fit
One of those ideas which I wish I had thought off years ago. The stabilisers are about 40cm long so bind into the ground very well.
