With a speed of 33 RPM, this LP showcases the artist's progressive rock and art rock style, making it a must-have for fans of rock and electronic music. The coloured vinyl adds a special touch to this English language record, making it a collectible item for vinyl enthusiasts.
First let me say I have been a fan since my early teens so i am very biased, having said that there is quite a lot of music by Mike Oldfield that I find lack lustre, this is not one of those. If you liked the original Tubular Bells there is every chance you will like this.
TB2 follows the same format as as the original but with a different overall set of musical themes though similar enough that you can hear changes that mirror the original.
This record store day release is good looking, blue marbled vinyl, it feels heavy and is inflexible and my copy gave a rich sound with no skips or clicks.
If you have this on CD then this is not going to give you anything extra but is really for the collector.
Overall a good addition to my collection.
