Evapo -Rust
It works well on light rust but heavy rust you still need to use good old elbow grease and wire wool or if you have a rotary tool better still. just depends what you use it for. I wanted to clean some motorcycle parts and had mixed results after soaking for 24 hours hence the four star's . Works remarkably well.
This works remarkably well on most ferrous metals. I did find it made tool steel go black but it was superficial and easily cleaned off. For short lengths of steel (like used by model engineers etc.) I found a short length of Squareline gutter made a good bath for Evaporust, enabling many things to be cleaned at the same time, and it can be reused many times. Poor results
I found it to have poor rust removing properties. Maybe l bought the wrong product . I wanted to remove rust from car components attached to the car . Brushing it on several times didn’t achieve any results. Maybe if a rusted piece of metal is submerged long enough then it will remove the rust .
