The kettle is very quiet , and there is no indicator light when it is first turned on so we were worried it wasn't working. However it did boil a full kettle in about 3½minutes, although it seems to boil rapidly for about 20 seconds before turning itself off. Make sure you do not fill it over the recommended level or you will have boiling water spilling out dangerously.Verified purchase: Yes
