Didn't touch the old varnish, had to clean it off and sand instead. Haven't used it on paint so it may perform better....or not.

Since Methylene Chloride was banned, it's been difficult to find an effective paint stripper - but I'm glad to say that this stuff is almost as effective, and certainly safer to use. It needs to be applied as thickly as possible and then left for an hour before the softened paint can be scraped off. Remnants can be removed with water with a little detergent added.

It’s okay. Does what it’s supposed to do. GC.

I'm glad I brought this stripper it works quite well on a louvre door that has about 15 years worth of paint. Does not remove all layers in on but a few applications should do the job.
