Nice Cheap Foldaway Trestles
Good Points. They foldaway into a very small footprint so do not take up a lot of space as compared to a fixed leg trestle so they are easy to store in the shed or chuck in the back of a van. They are a good price. They are strong enough to take a bit of abuse Nice size for laying an 8ft by 4ft sheet of ply etc on it. They are stable when the legs are locked into position.. Bad Points. As they are all metal they are on the heavy side but they are sturdy enough to take a bit of abuse. Folding the legs back in to the storage position is a bit of a faff but that is the compromise for the small footprint Unfolding the legs can be a pain. As they are all metal cutting through them with your circular saw (when the trestles are hidden by what you are cutting) is easy to do. To cure this I screwed some 2x4 sacrificial wood to the top of the trestles that was slightly longer than the trestles themselves so when stored on their ends it would sit on the wood and not rust the trestles. Thats the thinking anyway. Overall I am very pleased with them. I would buy them again if needed and glad I did not go for the more expensive ones out there as they are ideal for what I need them for as a keen DIYer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
