Practical and plentiful
To be fair I haven’t actually had chance to use this yet as I won’t be sowing seeds until next spring but the product itself looks really good and sturdy. Each seed tray is easily big enough to sew the likely number of plants needed and the fact that there are six of them means I can grow multiple plant types at the same time. Effective space saver.
Nice slimline design which comfortably fits on most windowsill. Puts out enough heat in my cold conservatory to germinate everything I've tried so far. Only 1 slight annoyance agree the plastic lid only rest on top of the seed trays and don't clip in to secure. Inquisitive children and cats that like to sit in the warmth easily displace the lids. Great propagator for multi crop sowings
I brought this propagator to get my seeds off to an early start. It is great for lots of smaller amount seed sowings. I've used it on Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Courgettes, Squash and Basil so far with excellent results. The seeds germinate quicker and very well with no fails so far. Red hot chilli pepper propagator!
The seven separate cells are a brilliant idea as you can set a lot of varieties off at the same time. It doesn't take up a lot of room and looks quite cute- like seven little greenhouses so when the seeds are germinated , I'm going to try some houseplants which need a constant higher temperature on the roots so ,all year long use (hopefully). I've sown some seeds in compost and some in pellets (the ones you put in water to swell up ) and both have worked well, even the new Carolina Reaper and Trinidad Maruga Scorpion chilli seeds have grown. This is the 2nd one I've bought . Bought one last year and I was very pleased . So decided to grow more plants from seed this year. Plug it in and keep the water topped up and away you go. Very simple to use . It is very low temperature and at first you might think it's not working . But the seeds love it . Plus the plug don't get hot and it's on most of the time . Great bit of kit .
