Check the Use By Date
The problem with buying things you can’t view and handle first is that you can’t be sure of the remaining shelf life a food product has. The box that arrived has a use by date of June 2019, so by the time l’m feeding chicks next spring it will be nearing its recommended expiry age. It would be helpful if suppliers listed this information along with a product’s other specifations. But the egg food is enjoyed by my canaries, so perhaps they’ll polish it off during the moult, and l can re-order before next year’s breeding season gets underway.

Reliable and Worth While
I have used CeDe egg food, as a soft food for feeding young canaries and finches, since the sixties and it has served me very well indeed. Of course, therefore, I recommend it, without reservation. I feed it twice a day, to avoid it drying out. Change it each day and keep the floor clean, so as no stale food remains, and you are on to a winner!
