An all stellar cast of Muddy fans back him on these recordings of some of his better known songs/covers. This makes them, potentially, appeal to a broader audience. I'd have originally bought the LP because Rory Gallagher played guitar on a couple of songs. Great playing and singing throughout. A little shmaltzy with big-band-ish brass arrangements on some which Muddy didn't like. There are a few more songs from these sessions on a subsequent LP Muddy Waters & Howlin' Wolf London Revisited where they have one side of the record each. These ones don't have and brass arrangements!
This CD was a reissue in a different sleeve to that of the original.
