An ancient kit that looks to be another Airfix winner!
Okay, so this Airfix Queen Elizabeth I tends to go back a few years now but I just fancied a totally different build to the usual aviation or nautical subjects. Unfortunately I haven't had chance to assemble this kit as yet, though I can vouch for the standard of moulding of the parts. I do know that when I made the kit many years ago it went together reasonably well, though the parts do need a bit of localised trimming to get the parts to fit. There are a number of 'double curvature' areas that will need trimming, though anyone with a few kits under their belts will master this. The nicely moulded clothing and jewels will also pop out when time is taken in painting these as well as showing subtle shadows and highlights. The same goes for the flesh tones and the hair. Yes, spending some time on this kit will indeed pay dividends. Keep 'em coming Airfix!!😉
