Possibly for outdoor plants
The product doesn't work - even if you stuff the nozzle tight with papertowel as suggested, the flow rate is so fast it soaks the plant and the bottle empties overnight. A bigger bottle tips over. I bought these to keep my houseplants watered while I was away on holiday. Despite days of experimentation with the degree and type of stuffing in the nozzle, there was just too fast a flow rate to make it practical.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I used the water spikes recently, easy to attach to water bottle. Spikes good quality. I found the water dripped through to quickly, so next time l covered a couple of the holes with tape, works much better as l wanted a slow continuous drip. Helpful for a few days away.
It is very helpful if you intend to go away for a few days, kept our plant pots well watered. We had to put a hole in the top of the bottle to relieve the pressure of the water as it dripped out. Very practical and easy to use. Have been using these for a few years. Ideal for pots and large indoor plants when away. Also good for individual garden plants during the drought if wanting to avoid using the hose.
