The Samsung 5000 Series UN22F5000 22-inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV is small enough to fit snugly in any room but powerful enough to deliver an incredible high-definition viewing experience. The 60Hz refresh rate provides clarity, keeping blacks deep and whites pure even as images zip across the screen. Images also stay crisp during sporting events and action movies. This television offers a Clear Motion Refresh rate of 120. This is a measure of the frame refresh speed, image processor speed, and backlight technology. The Eco Sensor technology enables your television to measure the light in the room and adjust the picture's brightness accordingly. All of this combined makes for a great crisp and consistent picture regardless of what you’re watching. The connectivity capabilities of this unit make it easy to watch digital content via computers and tablets. On the back of the television, there is an HDMI port to connect external electronics, such as Apple or Roku TV devices. You can also connect Blue-Ray and DVD players via the video and audio component inputs. A coaxial cable hookup, a headphone jack, and the power cable hookup support other accessories and are also found at the back of the unit. On the right side of the television, you will find a second HDMI port as well as a standard USB port, which are perfect for watching content directly from a flash drive. The wireless remote control that comes with this television is backlit, so you can see the buttons in the dark. There is also a manual on/off button on the back of the television. The audio system is Dolby Digital plus SRS TruSurround. There are several modes to choose from, including standard, music, movie, clear voice, and amplify, which increases the level of high-frequency sounds for the hearing impaired. You can use the internal speakers or connect the television to an external surround sound system. If you’re playing video games, you can switch to Game Mode. This function reduces the processing speed a bit. It will smooth the edges of the pixels in game content and will reduce the response time between hitting the game controller buttons and seeing the effect on screen. This Samsung television can be affixed to wall mounting accessories via the four wall mounting inserts at the back of the unit.
