Excellent and versatile
So our loppers aren't draper but when ours broke we couldn't find the replacement we needed. How to save the planet whilst repairing garden croppers.
I had two long handled garden branch pruning croppers with broken anvils. The mechanisms were in perfect order but I couldn't find suitable replacement anvils. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm a compulsive hoarder they regretfully would have been thrown away ! However, purely by chance, I happened to see these anvils on ebay so bought one.With some slight adjustment it fitted perfectly so I bought another. I now have two croppers working as new, a terrific saving over the alternative of buying two new replacements. Easy fit, restores Loppers like new.
I bought this ages ago, but was not asked for a review until now, and when looking to update all reviews, found none!! Glad to be able to catch up. The product fits perfectly, and continues to give good service. I have been unable to find a replacement BLADE for the same loppers. But find it is maleable and when straightened by hammering back to shape, restores its sharpness too!! Not just for Draper, fitted my unbranded loppers too.
This was bought speculatively to replace the broken anvil on my unbranded telescopic handle tree loppers (probably Lidl, or Aldi special). As others have found, fits with only minor adjustment and gives a new lease of life to an otherwise useless tool, saving me some money and the environment a bit of landfill! Telescopic Anvil Lopper repair.
I ordered the anvil on Sunday 22nd August and it arrived on the following Wednesday. I wasn't sure that it would fit my tree lopper, which is similar to a Spear & Jackson 4902RSS Telescopic Anvil Lopper, but mine appears to be unbranded.
