  • Does what it says, and does it well!

These pins work excellent for cleaning reloading brass. They get in all of the small spaces and primer pockets, and brass comes out looking like new. The 5lb pack I bought came with a sample of their cleaning powder, which worked very good as well. I've run about 3000 rounds through my rotary wet tumbler with these pins and you would never know they were even used, should last a long, long time. I threw my vibratory cleaner and walnut shell media in the trash. The photo shows 45ACP that was run for 1hr 15min in the pins with their cleaner. I'm very happy with the quality and the price. best deal I found.

  • Excellent for wet tumbling brass

I pre tumbled 500 .40 S&W cases without the media. The brass was shiny and the water was dirty. I deprimed and then resized all the cases and ran them through again with the media in the tumbler for the second cleaning. The water was absolutely filthy and the brass looked brand new. Use with Dawn soap and Lemi Shine to get the job done.

  • Why did I wait so long?

Started the reloading game in late 2010 and I was convinced that walnut shell tumbling was the ONLY way to go. Well, after cleaning the brown dust off everything in my spare bathroom where I did my vibratory cleaning, I bought a Rebel 17 as my first Stainless Steel pin tumbler. Difference was like night and day and over the years I graduated to a larger tumbler made by Lonestar Tumblers and now I can do large amounts of 50 cal brass. Using 20 lbs of these pins, I am able to clean 160 cases of the big cases and after a couple of hours, cases come out shiny, inside and out with NO dust. Just dump the dirty water and that is a lot easier than choking on walnut dust. Shown is my tumbler named Monster Red after the wash plant as seen on Gold Rush. Yep, these pins work!

  • I was skeptical

Yes, I was skeptical if the pins really work, But to my surprise, Yes the pins work! I took some very scroungy and stained range brass that had been walked on and rained on and ran thru a vibratory tumbler and came out about the way they went in, except shinier. So this is the first batch that I tried. Followed instructions for cleaning and ran on rotary tumbler for 1 hour. wasn't very clean. Duh.. I only had a hand full of pins in tumbler. I added 2 more hand full of pins and ran for 1 hour and dang that made the whole difference. Wow they looked like new of of the bag. So if you have really dirty brass, this is the Fix. Don't be stingy on how many pins are used and they work well!! Thanks, Frank

  • very good quality

this media i ordered was of much better quality than the stuff i got from Frankford arsenal very precise sizes and it is cut evenly. It is a little larger in length and diameter but i had no problems with it. It is still small enough so it won't get in any primer holes, i would highly recommend this over other brands.

  • Makes used brass look new

The perfect size to make brass look like new. After several batches in various calibers, not one pin stuck in a primer hole. I'm really impressed how well these work.

  • This is a great product and I will buy more.

This is the first product I ever bought that cleaned 100% of the carbon off of my rifle and pistol fired cases. The only caution I would tell you about is to be ready for the filthy water when you dump it out of your tumbler.

  • Better than the pins that came with the FART.

The Franklin Armory Rotary Tumbler (FART) just cleaned another 700 .40 &W cases with 5# of GunTap SS media in it. this time. Compared to the 2 hour cycle I ran with the original FA pins, the larger GunTap pins did perform noticeably better in terms of inside/outside the case and in the primer pockets.

  • Quite good.

These work quite well and do a nice job of cleaning your brass. Despite the manufacturer's claim otherwise, they do get caught in 9mm brass, but not a lot. I cleaned a couple of hundred cartridges and only had to pick the pins out about three of them with a screwdriver. But nothing's perfect, and they work better than walnut shells.
