  • Great ... once you get used to it

Basically it's very comfortable to use but after years using ordinary mice it takes some getting used to, and not just because your hand stays still rather than moving as normal.. Firstly, the trackball movement is VERY light, it takes some practice to get used to the tiny thumb movements that move the pointer, but once you are used to it you can get both fast large movements and delicate ones. The slightly bigger issue is the placement of the two page forward and back buttons (the functional ones, not the usual right and left click) and the scroll wheel. On a normal mouse the two buttons tend to be on the side and worked with your thumb, fine, it's often all your thumb has to do after all, but with your thumb working the trackball those buttons have to be worked with your index finger, which is OK as they are well placed for that. But then which finger is best to work the scroll wheel? The index finger would be usual but that gives it an awful lot to do, so I find I swither and sway a bit between using my index finger and my middle finger on the scroll wheel. Still having to get used to that. Finally, the ergonomic angles are great, much more comfortable than with an ordinary flat mouse, but a better ergonomic conventional mouse would give some of the advantage there as well, but fair's fair, it is comfortable in the hand ... so long as your hand isn't too big. If you have very large or small hands you may struggle, it's designed and sized for 'normal' sized hands. If you're more than a couple of sizes away from a size 7 glove you might find it a bit uncomfortable. And don't forget, it's useless if you're a lefty, it's strictly for your right hand only. The only other point I find interesting is that I tend to find myself doing less on the keyboard with my right hand and more with my left as with the right hand set on the mouse and settled in it's better to keep it there. So if it fits, and you're willing to put the time in to get used to it, absolutely worth trying, I consider it a definite keeper. Combined with a space mouse, CAD is transformed.

  • Perfect control

The only problem with this piece of tech is the high cost, I have used the wireless and wired version of the trackball for several years and cannot fault it. For graphics work it is possible to work faster than the computer will allow, much quicker than a standard mouse once you have practiced using the ball to move the screen curser. The design fits comfortably into the palm of your hand, the buttons are easy to use, so if you can afford to purchase this mouse you will never want anything else. The design creates minimum to zero strain on your wrist and you don't need a whole desk area to move it about like a standard mouse, in fact I often balance it on the chair arm with laptop on my lap. You can adjust the speed of the curser and customise the buttons too, it is the perfect tool for all laptops and desktop computers.

  • Great once you get used to it.

I've been used to the corded trackball you operate with your fingers. This one, you operate with your thumb. I bought it for the cordless aspect (fed up with tripping over the wires) and found the change a bit hard to get used to at first. It's settling in now, and it works really well, especially for click-and-drag operations, which were hard on the previous one. It has a dedicated scroll wheel, too.

  • A nice alternative to a traditional mouse for anyone with arthritis.

Many years ago I had used a trackball instead of a mouse to save desk space. I found myself in need of a trackball again due to arthritis. I favour Logitech devices, and this looked like a good fit. It was as described. An excellent fit, as new and great value. The service was very good and fast. The only issue I had was that it needed a clean. Trackballs pick up fluff and greese from your hand and over time this can interfere with operation. Just pop out the ball and run round the inside with a small brush. This should be done at least once a year.

  • Easy to use for painful hands

I've been searching for one of these and finding them just so very expensive on other sites. It's nice to be able to afford one. I have arthritis and a tremor which makes using an optical mouse very painful. This is much easier. The ball still darts everywhere because of my thumb, but it is so much better.

  • No more pain

Good product and has reduced my wrist strain already after only 2 weeks of using it

  • Comfortable and easy to use

Perfect if you don't have room to move a traditional mouse about. Actually I think its less strain on the hand and forearm once you get used to using your thumb to control the mouse and its still got the wheel if you just want to move vertically

  • Great Trackball

Got this to replace an old wired Logitech track ball which has gone walkabout. Although this one feels a bit flimsier, it has the same comfortable position and accurate response. Really pleased with it and would recommend to anyone who has not discovered the joy of trackballing yet.

  • A worthwhile alternative to a mouse

The product is well laid out and fits my hand well. Its use quickly becomes intuitive but you have to persist and allow time to retrain the muscle memory as you migrate from a mouse. It appears well made and is heavier than I expected which helps it stay in place. It saves desk space and I have quickly adjusted to it being in exactly the same place all the time. I am about to order a second one, for my desktop (1st one is attached to my laptop) as a mouse now seems clumsy.

  • Wireless Trackball mouse

I'm disabled, suffer with chronic pain & this is the only style of mouse I can operate pretty well. The last one lasted 5 years, how many drops & knocks it had I've lost count. it's Good design fits in the palm of the hand very well, the ball rotates effortlessly, the ball needs a clean now & again, not to often. No reason why this one should not last 5 years as well, may be longer if I can stop knocking it of the table. Arrived quickly, 100%
