EGR valve
Had issues with Astra 1.7 cdti ecoflex not accelerating properly and refusing to rev over approx 2000 rpm intermittently. Would drive ok for short while then almost come to a halt and rev very roughly. No fault codes present on car ! ? . Had cleaned out EGR few months before so being clogged up was not the cause of the fault. All issues cleared after change of valve which is only 10 minute job as very easy access on this car. Hope the notes may help someone diagnose similar problems and save on garage bills.
