The salt and pepper shakers are good quality and very easy to refill as the lid just unscrews which is much better, compared to other salt shakers on the market where you have to hold them upside down causing salt to pour out. Nice little item except for the way it must have been treated en-route.
Unfortunately the cruet set arrived with the plastic box crushed so that the bottom of the pepper was cleanly cut out in a circle! (postal authority) There would have been nothing wrong with the item. I am not a proud chap so am soldiering on with just the salt pot. Pity- it would have been a good buy.Thank you. Having purchased many different salt and pepper pots over the years, all different shapes and types, I decided to go back to the original classic salt and pepper pots simply because the newer types, especially the salt pots, because the holes in the fancy S top types rendered the salt into a fine powder. The only thing I would mention is that the openings at the top of the jars are a little on the small side when refilling with salt or pepper, but this is a minor consideration.
