The satin walnut varnish was watery thin despite having been given a very good initial stirring. I bought it to varnish 2 small pedestals made from bare redwood and bare mdf board. It certainly dried within the suggested time, but I am now on the 4th coating and each application seems to darken the surfaces only imperceptibly. I can see the whole tin being used before it gets anywhere near to matching other walnut varnished surfaces in the same room. Cannot yet comment on its diamond hardness, but certainly disappointed at its covering power.

Bit surprised it is not solvent based, but it isn't a problem
