Good starter pack but be prepared to add to it.
This pack is a little lean. I got two of them (one for each of our vehicles) because they were such a good price. I would say most folks that buy this would be able to stretch the food and water supplies to 5 days for one person maybe but if anybody else is with you there definitely won't be enough. Just be prepared to add to it. There's plenty of room left in the bag so I added more food packets similar to what comes with it, some clothing essentials like socks, gloves and beanies, a much more comprehensive FAK along with an additional fire kit. I don't know how well this extra added weight is going to affect the bag itself. I'm not backpacking with it everyday. It just sits in my vehicle for emergencies. The material that the bag is made of, the seams and the zippers I've rated a 6 out of 10. I have a lot of EDC bags, bug out bags etc. and this is nowhere near the quality of those but that's to be expected based on what I paid for this bag and the supplies. This bag is definitely worth purchasing to store for emergencies, gift to a family member or friend or if you want and easy no muss no fuss emergency kit for one person to throw in your vehicle. It'll give you that piece of mind but I would not plan on using it everyday because I can see it wearing out pretty quickly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than not being prepared

college bound grandkids...
I bought these Survival Backpacks as one of their Christmas gifts for my 3 college grandkids...being a grandparent, I worry about them being so far away from home. I thought they would scoff at me, but I didn't care, but they all three thought it was a great gift !!! A good item to keep handy
