Product Information
Hit and Run is a G.I. Joe character from the A Real American Hero series of G.I. Joe action figures. The Hit and Run story began with his birth in Sioux City, Iowa. He became an orphan when he was three years old and a drunk driver killed his parents. From there he was placed in county custody and raised in a county run institution. He escaped with alarming regularity by climbing down the home's exterior walls and running across the plains for several miles in the dark of night. His fearlessness was apparent and his toughness unmatched. Hit and Run escaped from the county institution one too many times and found his custody changing hands directly into the Army. When Hit and Run was asked what he was running away from while he lived at the institution, he would reply the he was not running away from anything, but rather, he was practicing. This attitude made him a prime candidate for the G.I. Joe team. Once on the G.I. Joe team, he finally found himself in a ‘family’. Hit and Run’s file card reads Brent Scott, the name he grew up with. And as he proved early in his life, he grew up fearless, tough and ready to prove himself. As a member of the G.I. Joe team, his primary military specialty is infantry and his secondary military specialty is mountaineering. In the Marvel Comics G.I. Joe series, Hit and Run made his first appearance in issue \u002380. He takes part in a series of dangerous adventures on Cobra Island, which is inhabited by Cobra forces, and does his part to protect civilian livelihood. He helps his new family of Joes stop the Cobra forces on Cobra Island from claiming a strategically important sector of land near the island. Unfortunately, Hit and Run’s dedication gets him into trouble when he tries to help rescue hostages, which actually turns out to be a ruse, put in place by the Cobras to try and trap the GI Joes. The hostages and their fake terrorist captors were all disguised Cobra agents. Later, Hit and Run has to deal with a real hostage situation, in which an farmhouse in a remote location was taken over by a pair of criminals. The big problems came up as a result of the criminals being misidentified, and Hit and Run had to rely on his G.I. training to think on his feet and do whatever it takes to save the hostages. In the fictional country of Sierra Gordo, Hit and Run joins forces with the other infantryman characters Stalker, Tunnel Rat, and the newest team member, Scoop. They will have to work together in the battle of Iron Grenadiers Hit and Run G.I. Joe is also featured in the Devil’s Due series as one the Joes assigned to take Cobra Island in the midst of a raging second civil war. The Hasbro 50th Anniversary Vanishing Act Hit and Run G.I.
