    Electric blanket control

    I bought this as a replacement for control chewed up by new puppy. The numbers on the control are easier to read than original. Original control had gold numbers which makes it impossible to read in the dark. Numbers on this control are black. Controls are identical except for the color of numbers.

    Words of Caution

    I don't think I have much choice except replace the controller when one breaks. I open the controllers and find a soldered on fuse on the circuit board. The fuse is supposed to protect the circuitry when the blanket is shorted and starts to draw unexpected large current. The fuse was still good on my broken controller. The price to pay for a used or new controller is too high considering the quality of it. Unfrotunately for now I am stuck with the blanket. If you have a choice, try a different brand, that's what I will do when it comes to time to replace the heated blanket.

    Evaluated a electrice Blanket

    this control was the right size it smelled so bad we had to leave outside after we saw it did not work .it smelled like something electrical had burned inside of it . there is no way if the man has a nose on his face he wouldn't have known there was something wrong with it . But of course that need for money overrides common sense. and if you want it evaluated you can stop marking out my (NO) carolyn Shrewsbury

    Just what I needed

    As I turned my blanket on for the first time this year it had power but didn't get warm. Examining the cord I found rodents had chewed the cord in half. I didn't need a new blanket, just the controller. This was exactly what I needed. I was leery about buying a used controller but it works great! Also it arrived quickly.

    Being non digital is a big plus for this product

    The new Mattress Pad warmers have controls that are digital. We like to program a timer to turn the warmer on prior to us getting into bed. With the new controllers the system reverts to being off and the pad does not start warming. With the old controls they stay where they are set and the heat comes on when the timer goes off. Biddeford no longer sells the "old" mattress pad warmer so we were very happy when we found this on Ebay. It is working very well and we are toasty in bed at night.
