I have owned a number of soldering irons in my life but have always struggled to get good results. I switched this new station on, selected 320 degrees and was able to produce the cleanest soldering joints I have ever managed to accomplish. Great temp controlled solder station for a hobbyist for a tiny price, iron and bit supplied were also surprisingly good quality and a nice weight. - The bit supplied is a medium sized pointy, for small circuit work its a little large but its perfect for automotive, however I see extra bits seem to be easily available on ebay. The iron holder stand is a sturdy metal not like the usual rubbish spring / plastic ones, overall very well done - have used it constantly since getting and well impressed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very good but...................
This soldering iron is very good value but the indicated temperature is way out. This can be adjusted with the +/- settings but mine was outside of the +/-50 deg C range. As long as you have some accurate way of measuring the actual temperature you will be fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
