Great Gimbal Head - Compare to the Benro GH2
I'm really pleased with this Induro GHB2 gimbal tripod head. It's a substantial piece of equipment, a Wimberly-style gimbal head with every feature you could ask for for wildlife photography except perhaps a bubble level. It's made of beautifully machined aluminum and provides smooth, easy movement in all directions with my long (500mm) lenses and full-frame Nikon camera.
The nobs are big and responsive -- they tighten quickly without much "travel" but can also provide a little tension if desired. The lock-down lever on the arca-swiss plate could be bigger but certainly does the job. My rig feels extremely secure -- I don't hesitate to lock everything down and move the tripod with this head and my camera on it.
NOTE: This gimbal head was discontinued but consistently got 5-star ratings at sites like B&H Photo. Induro is manufactured by Benro, and this GHB2 model should be compared to the current Benro GH2, which is identical to the Induro in construction, weight, and load capacity.
