Purchased this fire to replace a gas fire having had a new CH system installed. Good price not cheap or weak quality . Easy to fit ,Very realistic flame effect. Runs silently .Heat flow easily adjusted with thermostat control. Timer easy to set and the added bonus of remote or manual controls. Lovely, realistic fire
This fire replaced one, which was far more expensive, but had developed a defect after a year. I looked at various fires before finding the Roxby, and there were none at this price with remote control. I have not been disappointed in my choice. It is an excellent fire. Well made, solid, looks authentic, easy to fit in to the space available. On these cold winter days, and dark nights it has a very realistic flame effect and provides adequate heat when required. With the curtains closed, table lamps, and fire on, all is cosy. The remote control is an added benefit, and it is very easy to use. Really pleased with this fire. It looks good, really neat and compliments a traditional fire surround but I think it would equally be at home in a modern setting. The "flames" are very effective and give a feeling of warmth to the room. A remarkable fire
This fire was purchased to replace a Valor Blenheim Longlite LED fire, in which the led flame effect had stopped working. A service kit is available at about £80 plus labour. I thought the cost of repairs too high and the Valor is no longer available new, so I started looking for a replacement. This fire from Appliance Development Services seemed to tick all the boxes. It arrived within 2 days as promised, and installation was a simple direct replacement. The LED flame effect is better than the Valor, and to my pleasant surprise the fan is much quieter than our old fire. The bonus, is a remote control, for flame effect, heat settings, temperature and timer, and cost about half the price of the old Valor fire. What a fire
I was a bit unsure at first because of the price, but I didn't need to be it replaced a coal effect gas fire which had come to the end of it's life.
