Extra strong skewer for my tandem.
I had troubles with the quick release skewers holding the rear wheel of my tandem bicycle. Frequently when I thought I had the quick release tightly securing the real wheel, going up a steep hill the wheel would twist into the chain stay and rub against the stay and cause damage to the tire. I was looking for something better and discovered this skewer. This in not a quick release, the lever is used to screw the skewer very tightly. Noe that I have this wonderfully powerful skewer I have never had the shifting wheel problem I have had before, even after hundreds of miles. I feel much more confident and safer with this powerful clamping skewer.
