Toaster oven: recommended

Nice oven but could be better
I like this oven because my smaller cast iron skillets fit inside so it's quite roomy for it's size. Cooks great and doesn't heat up the kitchen. I use it a lot in the summer. The cons are there is no interior light and because of that I would not purchase this oven again because you have to open the door, letting the heat escape just to visibly check the food. Also there's a learning curve to operate it so it's not at all user friendly. It is very attractive however and looks stylish on the counter.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works great. Be cautious of heat.
It does the job. It gets pretty hot on the outside when set on broiler and/or high temp. Keep away from other electronics. Keep its own power cord from touching the unit. Good starter Toaster Oven
I think this is a good start if you're buying a Toaster Oven for the first time. It has all of the basic features there to toast your leftover pizza, chicken wings, deep fried pancakes, etc. Just make sure you read the instructions before using it. They need to be prepped before first time use.

CAUTION! HOT!
THIS IS A GOOD TOASTER OVEN. IT HAS A RACK THAT CAN BE PLACED AT DIFFERENT LEVELS. ON THE BAD SIDE, MAKING TOAST ON THE TOAST SETTINGS CAN EASILY BURN THE TOAST. THE WORST OF IT, IS THAT THE DOOR HANDLE IS METAL, AND THE FRAME OF THE DOOR IS ALL METAL. USE EXTRA CAUTION (POT HOLDER OR TOWEL) WHEN OPENING. BE SURE NOT TO TOUCH ANY OF THE METAL AFTER IT HAS GOTTEN HOT ENOUGH TO COOK YOUR FOOD. I HAVE BURNED MYSELF ABOUT 6 TIMES IN AS MANY WEEKS. IT NEEDS TO HAVE WARNING LABELS AND/OR PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES LIKE A OVEN MITT INCLUDED. A WOODEN HANDLE WOULD HELP GREATLY. Best in performance AND price!
This Oster product is a little marvel. Made of brushed metal (stainless steel look) and compact, it performs better than I expected. The controls are simple, easy to read, and conveniently placed. The inside space is rounded at the rear (for pizza, pies etc.) and ample. It doesn't use excessive power (my old DeLonghi would trip the circuit-breaker!), and heats up fast. Toasting bread takes less than half the time as before. Caution is advised here. You must manually turn back the timer knob to shut it off when browning is sufficient. A design improvement would be to have an immediate shut-off button available and prominent. As for the price - you couldn't ask for a better one. Great Toaster Oven
Has a wonderful "turbo" setting which is for convection mode. It's quiet, heats up really well & does a wonderful job. Turbo cuts approx. 1/3 of the cooking time for many foods. I use it exclusively instead of my big oven. It gets the job done! It's a lovely stainless steel oven with easy-to-read dials. I just wish it had a 2nd rack. Toaster Oven Size, yet produces equal results to full size oven.
This toaster oven is easy to use, power efficient, and very easy to clean up. It handles large corning dishes. This is my second one. I bought it to use at the almost completed studio flat of the duplex I'm building in Jamaica. I'm using the original where I currently live here in Florida. I like the stainless steel cabinet and the fact that it doesn't get ridiculously hot on the outside like some of its price-like competitors.
