Medium duty muck fork, good for straw handling etc
I bought this fork to gather heavy grass cuttings' not lawn cuttings, real thick stuff licke sedge and weeds etc. It has a standard width head and a long wooden handle for better reach.
It won't be used for manure work. I think the wooden handle might be a little thin for really heavy use by a burly bloke mucking out after winter cattle into a muckspreader.
For the price, it will easily cope with grass/straw handling. There are heftier forks out there which are unecessary for my present needs and some of those are more than double the price of this one, so I am well pleased with it.
Well I did try to use it as a muck fork and shaft snapped clean in two in second day's use.
Will fit a new stronger shaft easy enough but definitely wouldn't recommend it for anything other than straw.
