Need to replace an E32 board? Try a P300 motherboard instead!
While it didn't start as 5-star, after a couple of minor/major repairs and adjustments, it is now working fine. This is a great option if you have been victimized by Lenovo's defective firmware updating process and bricked your other motherboard. This P300 board is a drop-in replacement for the E32 original. BIOS updates can be sketchy, but workable, as well as the Intel Management Engine. The only sticking point is the Embedded Controller update process, which failed on the old board. Since these replacements don't grow on trees, I'm not keen on playing Russian Roulette with that one again. The BIOS levels and ME are up-to-date, and this is a working machine now. There is no need to pay more than what an entire replacement machine would cost, if you can get a similar LGA1150 board at a good price.
