    Sharp but unfinished blade

    the knife handle I love and quality is good except the blade was sharp but rough in spots. cleaned up easily with a stone and now perfect! Bone stag handle is the best!

    Top quality, but..

    Excellent quality materials build and function, I mean, it is a Case after all. Only negative is the look of your scales will be luck of the draw. In fairness this is mentioned, but mine came SORTA like the stock photo on one side, but WAY different on back side. Poor jigging and burn, VERY light. Was able to mini-torch it myself so looks fairly good. Just be aware. Still, overall a great knife.

    New vs Old

    This is a beautiful, well built knife that you can expect no less from Case,BUT! In my opinion the old world stag Case knives seemed to have more character,earthy good looks than the new. Maybe just the ageing proses doing its beautiful work, but maybe not. I would recommend this large stockman to anyone. Better yet make it a gift, it will not soon be forgotten.
