It Conserves Power
I highly recommend this product. Had one for at least 10 years, and ithe surge suppressor and the remote stil work perfectly - the new one's a backup. There are so many devices that never fully shut off when plugged in; plugging this in upstream of them to a switched outlet will completely turn them off. Keep in mind that some devices have to be reprogrammed if they lose power; I sometimes attach those to a UPS if the setup is non-trivial. There are 6 swiched outlets and 2 "always on" outlets. The batteries are not a common size (23A 12V) but are readily available and inexpensive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
