In combination with buying kerax hyperdrive 0w20 fully synthetic oil, which is very highly industry spec rated oil & a sump magnet, I bought this French made perflux genuine Honda oil filter, which due to its zig zag design has twice the area of most other compatible oil filters, see YouTube tear downs, these three items seemed to restore all my lost performance in a 2004 jazz, mpg went from 40mpg to 49mpg on carefully driven motorway cruises have had a 160 mile journey of over 51.6mpg, staying round 67-70 mph on flat surging down hills then using tailing off gained momentum up hills. If your Honda seems to have lost some mpg compared to spec, these 3 purchases seem to make allot of difference.

Can't beat O/E.......especially where the "health" of the engine is concerned. Made by Purflux in this instance and supplied by Honda an original equipment oil filter is, in my opinion, the best bet - Dealers could not carry out my scheduled service on my car for some while due to lockdown, so I changed the oil myself - it's easy enough and correct oil and filter is certainly cheaper than a new engine !!! The supplier (in this case a bona fide Honda dealer) included a "free" sump plug washer. It still amazes me though why, when filters are O/E this small but essential part has to be purchased separately. It must only cost a few pennies to produce. On the other hand, and in fairness, if bought as Purflux it would be unreasonable to expect them to supply multiple washers to suit other applcations the filter might fit.Read full review

Was looking all over for one of these oil filters even went to my local honda dealership and wow nearly £25 for a filter ... So found a dealership on eBay for a fraction of the price I emailed them to see if it would fit took two days but that was Saturday afternoon so wasn't too bad. When it first arrived I thought wow this looks really small compared to the 'euro car parts version' (aftermarket) this OEM version is brilliant there is loads of holes inside for the oil for maximum filtration and correct pressure compared to the after market version which had I'd say about 9holes inside for filtration this OEM had about 30 holes . Which I read up online more holes the better and better quality of filter material and metal substrate cage jacket . Solid and heavy quality good. Not light in weight cheap material quality. Enough said buy from here only took I'd say in farness 2days which is good for a eBay shop. Conceding they probably wouldn't make much money selling though eBay which is a shame really.Read full review

This is an excellent product,it always pays to fit genuine parts, and although they may cost a bit more money,it is well worth spending it and fitting them, the filter and plug, are very well made,as you would expect from honda, and now i would never fit anything else, very impressed.
