These are easy to assemble and generally easy to use. They have slipped off on occasion but think that's down to user error more than anything else. Quality seems to be OK, only time will tell. Spike the lawn fairly well so do the job as intended.

Easy strap on? No I don't think so. Firstly no instructions as to the best way to thread the straps on. Secondly, the straps are way too long. Once put on and tightened there is about 30cm or more flapping about which must be kept out of the way. The spiked soles MUST be strapped tightly to the foot - not easy whilst balancing on 2 inch nails - else they will come off whilst lifting your food after spiking. Once fitted, I think they do the job well. It's just such a fart arse performance putting them on!

I did read others reviews before I bought these lawn spike shoes, once they had got over the hurdle of strapping the shoes on, it was rated a great product. I have to AGREE. The plastic 'sole' is absolutely rigid, you have to walk flat footed in the main, so don't expect the sole to bend with your shoe, which basically means you have to make sure the straps are tight over your toe cap, and tight up around your heel or your foot may come out when lifting your heel - hence more flat foot!. Itsa basic 'double back strap fitting' like you get on some bags and case straps, and once threaded you can tighten and loosen. I suggest sitting in a chair, on a wall, floor etc by the grass to fit them, or stand on the grass whilst doing it, seems simple yes, but I did sit on the flagstones first, and had to take them off, easy to forget these are 'spiked shoes'. The spikes are easy to install, and would benefit when you have fitted them, from just tightening a tweak with a small spanner or pliers, they do hand tighten but you may find you are doing this each time after a 'lawn run', but no big deal, just dont want to loose a nut in the grass. . Once on , i stomped all over the lawn, and for my money THEY WORK A TREAT. Certainly easier to store than a rotary spiker, yes the rotary spiker works faster, is bigger, and possible greater for large lawns, but for my money, strap these on when using your mower and do two jobs at once - magic!Read full review

The soles of these 'sandals' are tough, the spikes are strong, sharp, and are easily and securely fitted. The problem arises with the straps: they loosen by themselves as you put strain on them when lifting the spikes out of the ground, and when I attempted to re-tighten one of the straps, the plastic buckle disintegrated, making that sandal useless. I ended up doing the whole lawn with one off, one on.

These are no good for me. They are one size so can't be adjusted. The straps don't hold them when you try to lift your foot from the ground. I tried to make them work but they don't. Someone else mentioned that the straps were not hemmed and would fray. I noticed that mine were the same but this at least can be fixed my melting the end.
