Very convenient & easy to use, no mess
Kurust in itself is a very effective way convert rust to a oxide free surface that can be painted. A big jar is really too much for a small job where rust can be a problem like house items such as radiators that have small rust areas or as on the car etc, this small chip pencil is just ideal no mess or fuss just clean up loose rust & apply kurust with the small brush thats in the holder.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hammerite Kurust Stone Chip Pencil
I wanted a small amount of material to clean up a little bit of rust on a car window frame. After a little scrape to remove loose particles of rust, the Kurust was applied using a small artists brush. The attached brush would have been OK, but I did not want to contaminate any remaining treatment fluid. Almost immediately, the rust turned dark blue/black. A sign it was working. I chose to repeat the application three times to ensure full penetration. The rust line has now turned black and looks perfectly stable. I could have painted the window rail, but chose to cover with a little fillet of black siliconeas it was at a joint of window rail to rubber seal. Finished job looks fine. I am now searching the garage/shed for any more rusty bits to treat! I only wanted a small amount so this pack was much more than I needed. Previous purchases of rust treatment had gone off before I could use it. So, for me it was good value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
