Perfect expect for one problem.
I bought a second gtx 970 so i could mess with sli. Worked great! except it was running idle at 45 C* which is ridiculous. So i tried to offset it on my motherboard placing it into a lower pci-e seeing as my motherboard supports up to 3 cards. Now, by doing that it worked for a day or two. and then it was back up to the 45 degrees. where as the top card which should run hotter, was at 28-30C*. The issue turned out to be that the ACX 2.0 Cooler was put back with an ungodly amount of thermal paste. There was so much thermal paste on the Graphics Processor, that it was caked into the metal heat fins on the ACX 2.0 cooler, and was completely covering the whole processor and it's inlay as well as a portion of the board. So it was running at 45 C*. and after the fix of cleaning it up and replacing the thermal pads and thermal grease. It now runs at 28-30 C*. PS. do not! DO NOT!! Use thermal grease as a replacement for your thermal pads on the Vram. It's not meant to cover the distance gap and when it heats up it'll ooze out of the gap it was in and then your Vram will die. Meaning good bye graphics card.
