  • Perfect wood stain

I've used Colron for several wood staining jobs in the past, usually the English Light Oak stain applied to light coloured softwood. Colron is very easy to apply. I use a muslin cloth, pour on 50p coin size amount and immediately rub it into the wood. After repeating this a few times, the cloth becomes saturated and can be turned over and re-folded. The Colron stain liquid is very forgiving if you apply too much. So long as you keep rubbing it in, any darker, denser areas soon merge into a more uniform appearance. The saturated cloth can then be used to go over any 'lighter' areas to help give a little more darkening and maintain the uniform appearance. I keep the cloth in a tightly wrapped plastic bag to stop it drying out if left for more than a few minutes. Delivery was on time and the price reasonable.

  • Wood stain review

Says what it does on the tin. Easy to apply and good penetrative qualities. Only concern is shade of colour. Be mindful of share you want and try the product out on a small area first.
